Visit the Taj Mahal one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This tour starts with the Taj Mahal, the wonder of the world. Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal from 1531 to 1653. Several historical and Quranic inscriptions in Arabic script have facilitated the setting of the chronology of the Taj Mahal.

For its construction, masons, stone cutters, layers, carvers, painters, calligraphers, dome builders and other artisans were requisitioned from the whole of the empire and Central Asia and Iran. Ustad-Ahmad Lahori was the main architect of the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is considered to be the greatest architectural achievement in the whole range of Indo-Islamic architecture. Its recognized architectonic beauty has a rhythmic combination of solids and voids, concave and convex and light shadow; such as arches and domes further increases the aesthetic aspect.

Agra Fort

After lunch, you explore Agra Fort This fort was built by the great emperor Akbar the Great. It is also known as a vast museum of the palaces. This Fort has an irregular semi-circular plan with its lying parallel to the course of the river.

The construction of this fort was started in 1565 and completed in 1573 by Akbar then later Mughals added some buildings within it.Like Jahangiri Mahal, Shahjahani Mahal, Khas Mahal, Moti Masjid, Nagina Masjid, Meena Masjid, Anguri Bagh etc. After the sightseeing, you can enjoy the local art of Agra.
